Graphic Designer | Appvia (Full Time)

www.appvia.io

I manage and update the brand's overall look and feel, as well as keep all assets consistent and to a high standard. I am also in charge of overall brand awareness, creating opportunities for the Appvia business, and conversions of customers. This involves working closely with the Content Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Manager, and overall marketing team. For this, I create high-end internal and external assets for both the marketing and sales teams.

Part of my role consists of maintaining brand consistency across the Appvia website. For this, I work closely with our external web designer to design and create not only the Appvia website but also create a greater design/experience for our customers.

As the Appvia brand is expanding I help with the creation of videos and podcasts. These consist of but are not limited to, Youtube videos, podcast episodes for Spotify, pull-out quotes for social media, blog banners, teaser images for upcoming podcasts to go onto the website, and video/sound snippets.

Another aspect of my role consists of helping out the Appvia product team. For this I help in the overall UI/UX design of the product and also by creating design assets that are needed to help improve the overall look and feel of the product, to bring it up to the Appvia brand standard but also to link the product back to Appvia itself. For example the creation of the icons used across the product, as well as their style matching with the style used on the website.

A new aspect of my role is to help and manage a Junior Graphic Designer. This consists of managing their workload by assigning them tasks, working with them collaboratively at times on projects, giving helpful feedback, helping them grow and develop in ways of industry techniques, and giving them a wide range of work for them to gain experience from.

Software used: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier Pro, After Effect, Acrobat Pro, Google slides, and Figma.

Graphic Designer | Oktra (Full Time)

www.oktra.co.uk

I created bespoke pitch documents, proposal documents, questionnaire documents, screen documents and interactive PDF's etc. These are bespoke to each client. I also updated existing documents for a range of companies/clients from start to finish. I also catalogued new and existing case studies. I have also created and organised template documents for a range of clients for various outcomes.

I worked directly with the Oktra marketing department to create various branded collateral materials. This includes but is not limited to, marketing campaigns, booklets and guides, competition artworks, and digital content. On occasion, I would liaise with Oktra's aftercare department. This consisted of helping to maintain current and previous client satisfaction. This entails creating small documents and introducing new content.

On occasion, I would help to create content for in-house events, such as Oktra's annual art show. For these events, I work on various mini-project such as branding of the event to video creation and video editing for the event.

I was also tasked with creating videos from start to finish. This entails working closely with content designers to come up with a general look and feel of the video, from storyboard to completion. I am now comfortable using Premier Pro.

Design & Marketing Intern | Copper Dust (Internship)

www.copperdustlondon.com

I created promotional products such as flyers to coincide with Copper Dust’s exhibition at the Top Drawer event in London. I also collaborated with another intern to create a new catalogue for the event. I also created promotional things for Copper Dust’s social media platforms such as Facebook. I was also in charge of managing and designing social media posts. I was responsible for trafficking social media groups by interacting with the sites and have created a social media event advertising while keeping up to date on the latest interior design news and trends.

I also created advertisements for Copper Dust that have been featured in FRUK Magazine and online. For this project, I collaborated with the other intern with idea-generating, concept creation, and finalising ideas.

Lastly, I assisted with the Top Drawer London event including setting up the stall, helping to sell and get the company Copper Dust out there to the right customers, and going to talks and any other relevant marketing materials that would help Copper Dust in the future.

I worked as a junior graphic design intern for a non-profit charity called Peace One Day. I was in charge of designing both in-house and outside client graphics within their newly established production company. This involves using Indesign to create layouts for email attachments, letters, event invitations, toolkits, and Powerpoint presentations for clients.

I designed logos for a children’s charity event created by Peace One Day. I have also designed a logo for a Patrons event hosted by Peace One Day. I was also responsible for designing Peace one day’s annual report and the design for their Event wristband etc. I also helped out with their outside clients by designing graphical elements and layout design for two separate presentations, a workbook and a handout. Using Powerpoint as the main tool I designed two 72 page slides based around pitching for a presentation and a workshop event.
